Current Challenges in Transportation and Logistics
The new mobility ecosystem is rapidly expanding while facing a multitude of challenges with local, regional, and global impacts. Moving people and goods in an efficient way is imperative for the growth of any economy. Research and investment in new technologies, infrastructure, and modes of transport around the nation is advancing rapidly. Many stakeholders and decision makers have been adapting to the new technologies. Although the transportation infrastructure and management are currently going through many unprecedented challenges, they have been responding well.
This conference/symposium will provide an opportunity for students of universities in the Southeastern U.S. to present recent research and innovations. In five sessions with distinct topics, presenters will share how their contribution can play a role on the smart city concept and how it helps, mitigates, or solves the many challenges our society is facing. You may find information about registration and presentations in the left menu. The committee thanks everyone that submitted their work to this conference! We received more submissions than expected and had to go over the hard task of selecting abstracts for presentation.
The Graduate Student Presentations Award will recognize presenters with prizes of $300, $200, and $100 for the first, second and third place accordingly. Find more information in the information for presenters section.
