The Freight Mobility Research Institute (FMRI) is a Tier 1 University Transportation Center funded by the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT), and housed in the Department of Civil Environmental and Geomatics Engineering within Florida Atlantic University's College of Engineering and Computer Science.

The FMRI is a Florida Atlantic University led partnership with the Hampton University, Portland State University, Texas A&M University (College Station), University of Florida, University of Memphis, and University of Minnesota (Minneapolis).

Analysis of Freight Movement Within Regional Evacuations - This research seeks to explore freight movements before, during, and after an emergency evacuation in support of identifying lessons learned and best-practices for future planning.
